My internship at IHS Markit was a wonderful learning opportunity that focused not only on key industry technologies but also on soft skills that have greatly contributed to my personal and professional development. In addition to being a part of a global viz team, I also worked with and learnt from company leaders as part of an exciting business project. I also gained an understanding of the company and its values through the many interactions I had with everyone in a very positive, supportive and encouraging environment. Despite all the challenges presented by the pandemic, I had an amazing experience.

Firstly, I’d like to thank IHS Markit for giving us the opportunity to intern at the firm, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first time I did an internship virtually and had my doubts about how things would be, but IHS Markit did everything they could to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Yes, I would’ve loved to sit inside an office and work, just to get a feel of how cooperate life would be after I graduate, but this was no less. Everyone at IHS Markit is very friendly, very welcoming and very helpful as well. We had sessions with different people from the firm telling us about what they do, their experience in IHS Markit and also guiding us choose what’s best for us. We had interactive sessions every Friday which were fun and helped us interact and network with the other fellow interns. Overall, I had a great experience!

IHS Markit is a great place to start your career and grow professionally and personally. I started out as an intern and immediately felt welcomed throughout the entire team. Upon graduating, I joined IHS Markit as a full-time employee. The company is helping young graduates to progress their career professionally and personally, and I find myself among a great group of colleagues who share their experience and work together in a spirit of mutual benefit. It’s actually a great place to work!

My internship at IHS Markit in the summer of 2018 was a phenomenal experience. It taught me all about the nuances of energy industry, skills needed for professional development and building a prospective career growth. The atmosphere inside the company is positive, as well as pleasing. The firm promotes innovative and independent thinking across all teams. I was encouraged not only for intra-team collaboration but also for inter-team interactions and networking. To my elation, I received the appointment letter in October 2018, and I joined the firm in January 2019. In continuance, I was entrusted with more responsibilities which offered me more learning and technical skills. The company invigorates to develop your soft skills through various programs such as the exclusive Graduate Program which helps to build a professional attitude and prepares you for transition from Campus to Corporate. Overall, it has been a privilege to work in such an amazing company!
