Technical Education is a pivotal component in developing human resources for improving quality of life of people. A large number of people require vocational skills and their number is growing. Thirty years ago, KITS was conceived from a noble thought of Late Sri P.V. Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India to bring quality technical education to rural Vidarbha. Great visionary and philanthropist, Late Sri. V. Rajeshwara Rao, established KITS in the serene and historical town of Ramtek and converted this noble idea into reality. Named after the legendary Sanskrit poet ‘Kavikulguru’ Kalidas, KITS believes in Bhagavat Gita’s phrase “Shraddhavan Labhathe Dnyanam”. It means that one who has faith gains knowledge. In the pursuit of imparting quality education, out teachers work relentlessly in instilling this faith in their students.

Students get an opportunity to study in a 50 acre lush green campus surrounded by forests, lakes, flora and fauna. The institution boasts of alumni of premier Indian institutions like IITs, NITs & IISc as faculty teaching courses in 7 Engineering departments along with Architecture.
