Maharaja Agrasen Unversity (MAU), Baddi , Himachal Pradesh as one of the emerging University in North India. It is situated at a distance of 10kms from Kalka and 30 kms from Chandigarh & is spread over 18.5 acers. MAU has been set up with the objective to quip students with technical as well as professional competence enabling them to meet the global challenges. The University is established under the Maharaja Agrasen University ( Establishment & Regulation) Act,2012 and controlled & managed by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society(MATES), founded in 1998 at Delhi with a vision to establish institutions of higher learning, particularly in the field of technical and professional education of international standards. The mission is to nurture the youth become high class professionals infused with ethical and moral values. The society established Maharaj Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) and Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management (MAIMS) in the year 1998 and 2003 respectively. MAIT-Delhi was ranked 15th in All India Survey of all Engineering Institutes ( including IITs and IIITs) by Data Quest Magazine.

Maharaja Agrasen University is approved by UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. All the courses run by MAU have been approved by relevant statutory and Regulatory Authorities viz. All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE), Council of Architecture (CoA), Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy council of India (PCI), Department of Higher Education,Govt. of Himachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Regulatory commission (HP-PERC).

Admission to all the said courses is done on the basis of entrance test
