Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) was established in the year 2007 by Rajalaxmi Education Trust® with a vision to attain perfection in providing globally competitive quality education. MITE offers 9 UG & 2 PG programmes in Engineering and MBA programme, Accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade with score 3.44, secured Highest ‘Platinum Rating’ in the AICTE-CII Survey 2020, Five of the Engineering Departments Accredited by NBA.

MITE, known for its high academic standards, has registered 22 University Ranks over the last 5 years supports Industry oriented learnings through collaborations with Global industries-Bosch Rexroth, Siemens, Carl Zeiss, Toyota Industries Engine India, KPIT, Infosys, UiPath, NHAI; MoU with Binghamton University, USA, Kumamoto University, Japan, MDIS Singapore, & ITE West Singapore to provide global exposure.

MITE has established a state-of-the-art Incubation Center, providing conducive ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. 20 innovative ideas being incubated through financial support of Rs.1.85 Crores received from MSME, GoI, and NAIN, GoK, and 6 start-ups are also functioning on the campus. MITE has 7 research centers resulting in high-quality research output, Funded projects worth Rs. 2.6 Crores, 389 Research publications, 1 patent granted, 7 Published and 5 patent applications filed during the last 5 years.

MITE was awarded as the 'Best Performing College of the Year 2019-20' by KSCST & the students have received several Top Awards at National and State Level events.
